Feeling Gray

For Apartment Therapy’s Style Cure, I have been painting the bathroom.

So far the walls are done but I am considering painting the ceiling.

The bathroom is really coming together now that there is some color on the wall. Yes, gray is a color. I’ll be back next week with details and pictures. In the meantime I’d love to hear your opinion, should I paint the ceiling or leave it be?

  1. Hmm… Good question! My vote would probably be to leave it (my boyfriend is a professional painter and he says ceilings are one of the most challenging things to do), but it depends on your colour choice. What are you thinking of going with?

  2. I'd paint it gray like the walls. My husband isn't all for the idea, either… if we ever have to paint it white again, it'd be a big pain!

    From the reveal ( which was reported today on Apartment Therapy) it looks like you also painted the tiles. Did I miss that part? Did you use epoxy paint? Did you paint right over the grout? Whatever you did, your bathroom looks amazing and those little touches like painting the pump on the soap dispenser are awesome!

  6. Thanks Carol, I actually didn't paint the tiles. Painting the walls a darker gray definitely made them seem lighter. It's something I wasn't expecting but love!
