This petite, ornament-less Christmas tree and a string of lights on our front porch is the extent of our Christmas decorations this year. I’m learning – nay, forcing – myself to say no to some things this year. Although I worry my children would prefer shiny ornaments on our tree, I think it’s better than having an even more frazzled mother running around the house. After all, Christmas isn’t about getting everything checked off a list but to purposefully slow down to reflect on the greatest birth day there has ever been.
