My Favorite Natural Skin Care Products

This is a little bit off topic than my usual posts but since I recently shared my bathroom makeover, I only thought it made sense to share my favorite natural skin care products. I started to actually care about what I did with my face when I was struggling with postpartum depression. To maintain some sort of normalcy and to help me feel like a functional human being (even though I really wasn’t), I started looking into different products.

After much research, I landed on a select few that I use in my daily skin care routine. These are all products you can easily find on Amazon. Even though I love these store-bought products, one day I would like to try my hand at making my own skin care products. For now, these do the trick.

My Favorite Natural Skin Care Products

Serum One + Two | Facial Scrub | Charcoal Soap Bar | Clay Soap Bar | Night Cream | Facial Mist

Cleanser

I’ve been using Herbivore’s cleansing bars for a while now and love how they make my face feel clean without stripping it and causing dryness.

I alternate between the bamboo charcoal and the pink clay and truly cannot pick a favorite. They both smell amazing!

Recently, I added a facial scrub into the mix and use it about every other day. The brilliantly brightening scrub from Acure that I use is wonderful. I was worried it wouldn’t leave my face feeling clean but it totally does! Plus, it does a great job at removing eye make-up.

Toner

I use this witch hazel with rose petal after I wash my face. Thayer’s is my favorite since the ingredients are so simple.

Serum

Asterwoods Naturals makes my favorite face serum. I ordered two, Hyaluronic Acid and Matrixyl 3000 + Argireline peptide + Vitamin C. I mainly use the latter only because it also contains Hyaluronic Acid. I honestly don’t know if it’s making a huge difference but it makes me feel like I’m helping my skin out, and that counts, right? It doesn’t cause me to break out whatsoever, but does dry out my skin somewhat, which leads me to the final step in my skin care routine.

Moisturizer

I typically do not use a face moisturizer, as I have skin that tends to be oily and live in humid Florida. With that said, at night, I like to use Acure’s night cream.

During the day, especially during the winter, I’ll useĀ Herbivore’s Rose Hibiscus Face Mist as a perfect light moisturizer.

Now tell me, what are your favorite natural skin care products? Do you have a skin care routine? Let me know in the comments below!
