Stopping By

Wow, it’s been a crazy couple of months. The kind of crazy where when one busy period ends, another one shortly follows. We managed to pull together Eliana’s zebra party and immediately after turned to Thanksgiving planning.

I gotta say, I love Thanksgiving. It may be my favorite holiday. Last year was my first year tackling a turkey, so this year I’m doing it again. We’re getting a bit unorthodox with it and trying out this recipe from America’s Test Kitchen, which requires removing the bones and roasting the turkey on top of the stuffing. Stuffing is my obsession favorite, so I’m excited to taste how it will come out.

Along with making the only turkey for our family’s gathering, I’ll be whipping up my favorite holiday pies and potato rolls. Is it weird that I enjoy baking so much? Remind me that I said that when I’m in the thick of it on Thursday, okay?

Since my next couple of days will be filled with quality time with my oven and family and a lot of eating (after all, I am eating for two), I’m stopping by to say Happy Thanksgiving. While we’re at it, what’s on your Thanksgiving menu? Anything out of the ordinary like a turkey with no bones?
