Dyeing fabric (and other things, like string) may or may not be an obsession of mine. I’ll let you guess which side I fall on. So naturally, I dabbled in making my own fabric dye from plant sources and it was pretty awesome.
I used turmeric and onion peels to achieve a mustard-y yellow color and I’m pretty fond of it. I also somehow managed to whip up no-sew tea towels with the fabric I dyed.
