The last of our kitchen shelves are installed! Yesterday I installed the last shelf and wasted no time filling them with everything I’ve been hoarding for this specific purpose.
I moved the alarm control panel that used to be on this wall into our bedroom which is on the other side of the wall. Moving it provided a clean slate for tile. I’m glad I decided to tile this little nook next to the refrigerator (see this post for reference), and it only took a little over two days to complete.
I kept busy last week installing baseboard and toe kicks with a nail gun and air compressor my dad leant me. Now that the shelves, toe kicks, and most of the caulking is done the kitchen is 99% complete. Can you even believe it?! It was last October that we broke ground by tearing down the pointless wall, so it’s been a long time coming.
Literally all I have left to do is fill in the nail holes on the toe kicks and figure out how to style these shelves just right. Then I promise you’ll be getting a full post of my soon-to-be favorite before-and-after.
Looks super cute! Great job! 🙂
Thanks!
Hey there: Do you have a source for the shelves? We are getting ready to order ours this week & desperately trying to do exactly this, with light wood. Thank you!
Hi Lauren! The lumber came from Advantage Lumber and I installed them using House Updated tutorial.
